Job Introduction

So…. What is this role exactly?

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainer to join our training team within our ICT function.

It’s a great time to join the team and support YHGs digital transformation to deliver services to internal and external customers more efficiently and effectively than ever.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable delivering training remotely from home or face to face at our Head Office in Warrington or other Your Housing Group sites across the North West.

What will my working week look like? 

You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses.  You’ll be required to visit our Head Office approximately once a week.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will play a crucial part in a small Training team, using your creative flair and previous training experience to develop clear and engaging face to face IT training and ‘how to’ guides for colleagues within the business.

One of the great things about this role is that you will be enabling colleagues to make full use systems they use day to day, ensuring they’re able to effectively deliver in their roles.

You will ensure your colleagues have the knowledge and ability to enable them to make the most effective use of the Group’s IT resources, you’ll become the system expert on our Housing, Finance and Document Management systems

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be a successful Trainer, here at YHG, you will have….

  • significant experiencing delivering training – both remotely and face to face
  • experience of delivering training to customers of varying IT literacy
  • experience producing training and procedure materials
  • high level of IT literacy ie Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project
  • CIPD Level 3 Learning & Development Practitioner (but not essential)

  • be a collaborative team player
  • be able to build positive working relationships at all levels
