Salary: £30,000 to £34,000
Contract: Permanent
Location: Homebased Northwest (and some office work)
Weekly Hours: 35 hours (Monday to Friday)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainer within the ICT Operations Department.
You will enjoy the position as it offers a diverse range of responsibilities. We are looking for an individual who brings energy and enthusiasm to their work, takes pride in delivering high-quality training and has a natural flair for creating engaging learning experiences, whether that’s through face-to-face sessions, webinars, or digital or written content. Excels in being meticulously and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, possesses the ability to inspire others, and exhibits top-notch interpersonal skills.
You will be homebased, living within the North-West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to be able to deliver in-house training courses and attend meetings when needed.
What will my working week look like?
Apart from scheduled business-as-usual training delivery in the office, no two weeks are the same in this role, and that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. One day, you might be delivering a live training session in the office or hosting a webinar for colleagues across the business. Next, you could be designing a new presentation, editing or creating e-learning modules and presentations or creating engaging video content and instructional guides.
Balancing content creation with training delivery, all while working from home.

What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you’ll play a vital role in designing and delivering high-quality ICT training across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging and accessible learning content, whether that’s face-to-face sessions, webinars, e-learning modules, videos, or written guides, to ensure colleagues can confidently use our core systems and tools.
One of the great things about this role is the variety it offers. You’ll become a subject matter expert in key business systems, such as Housing, Finance, and Document Management, and learn how to utilise various ICT systems quickly, then apply that knowledge to support colleagues at all levels. If you enjoy translating information into clear, practical learning experiences, this is the perfect opportunity to make a real impact.
Alongside training delivery, you’ll also contribute to maintaining our end-user documentation library and help shape a proactive, user-focused training service.
And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
To be successful as ICT Trainer here at YHG, you will have:
• Significant experience in delivering training and creating a range of training and procedural materials, including videos, e-learning, and written guides.
• High levels of IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), with clear and articulate communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to quickly understand business processes and how different teams use ICT systems, along with the capacity to rapidly acquire new technical knowledge and adapt to evolving technologies and training needs.
• Confidence in delivering training to diverse audiences, both face-to-face and via webinars, and the ability to tailor your approach to suit varying levels of IT literacy.
• A strong customer service ethos, with excellent organisational skills and a natural ability to understand and respond to stakeholder training needs with a natural inclination to go the extra mile.
Ideally, you will be:
• A confident and collaborative team player.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Qualified with a CIPD or L&D-related qualification (or working towards one).
This role is suited to someone who enjoys being customer-facing, is personable and engaging when delivering training, and takes pride in producing high-quality, accessible learning content. You’ll thrive if you’re detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy working flexibly either in the office or from home while staying connected with your team.
