This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer, based at our homeless lodge in St Helens, (WA9 5DY).
Pennington Lodge offers temporary accommodation to adults and families who find themselves homeless for a number of reasons.
What will my working week look like?
This is a full-time role based on a 10 day working rota. You’ll be working 12.5 hour shifts in blocks of 4. Working with 2 days (7.45am to 8.15pm), then 2 waking nights (7.45pm to 8.15am) and then 6 days off - for example:
Monday & Tuesday 07.45 to 20.15; Wednesday & Thursday 19.45 to 08.15; then off rota for 6 days back on shift following Thursday 07.45 to 20.15
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, working with a caseload, you will provide key work 1-2-1 support to vulnerable adults and families, helping to improve their outlook and empower them to move on successfully to an independent tenancy.
You’ll be facilitating on site sessions and activities with the families, creating holistic support packages and providing both emotional and practical support.
One of the great things about this role is you will meet a wide variety of people and will make a real difference to customer’s lives.
You will be predominantly working alone and will be responsible for the general day to day running of the scheme, maintaining the safety and security of the building and its occupants. You’ll also be collaborating with outside agencies and updating all associated documentation.
