So…. What is this role exactly?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Private Rented Sector (PRS) Officer to be part of a fast-paced and target driven Private Rent Team. You will be North West based, and when not at home preparing tenancy paperwork, liaising with internal and external stakeholders or responding to customer correspondence, you will be travelling to our PRS properties and developments in and around Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Chester, and Chorley. You will work with the freedom to manage your diary around your customer visits and stakeholder meetings. You will also be required to visit our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington (WA3 7QH), for meetings and training as and when required.
It’s an exciting time to join the team as we continue to grow with new properties being brought into management as a result of our new build development activity.
We are looking for someone with property management experience who is customer focussed with strong communication skills, who is able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other teams to provide the highest standards of service to our customers. You will be resilient, well organised and committed to delivering excellent lettings and tenancy management services.
What will my working week look like?
You will provide a holistic housing management service to a patch of properties within our Private Rented and Rent to Buy portfolio. This will include lettings, voids, tenancy management and estate management. As Private Rent Officer, you will be homebased but travel regularly to our collaboration space in Birchwood, Warrington and sites in and around Greater Manchester, Warrington, Merseyside, Warrington, Cheshire and Chorley.
You will work 17.5 hours a week. Monday to Wednesday between the hours of Monday, Tuesday 9.00am to 5.00pm and 9:00am to 12:30pm on Wednesday job sharing with another colleague. However, you will have the ability to work flexibly dependent upon the needs of the service.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, as PRS Officer, you will be responsible for lettings performance, tenancy management activities, property inspections and organising void maintenance works for all the properties on your patch.
You will work closely with other members of the PRS Team ensuring all properties are let and managed effectively, following all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You will report on a suite of key performance indicators relating to Private Rented properties.
One of the great things about this role is its variety, no 2 days will be the same and you will have the opportunities to influence how our private rent properties and neighbourhoods look and feel. It’s a very rewarding and exciting time to join Your Housing Group!
You will need to be competent in the use of IT systems.
