Job Location:           Homebased North West 

Contract Duration:   Permanent 

Hours (weekly):     35 (Monday to Friday)

So…. What is this role exactly?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Services Manager; you will be living in the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of Cheshire, Merseyside and Staffordshire Moorlands (our “South” Region).  You will be homebased when not travelling across your region, however, you will also be required to travel to our super modern Collaboration Hub/Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington for meetings and training.

 What will I be responsible for doing?

As one of the Housing Services Managers for the Group, you will be responsible for delivering regional housing management, tenancy enforcement and allocations services for circa 10,000 of our 22,000 general needs properties across Cheshire, Merseyside and Staffordshire Moorlands.  

Leading and supporting 3 Regional Housing Teams, you will work closely with another Housing Services Manager (covering our “North” Region), other departmental leaders and their respective teams, to ensure the success of our service, paving the way for future improvements with continued innovation in these areas. 

As a Housing Operations Service Manager, you will be an experienced Housing Management professional with plenty of senior level experience of leading multi-functional customer service teams. 

You will be the Group’s operational lead for Allocations and Lettings with regional responsibility for lettings performance, tenancy and neighbourhood management activities, proactively ensuring you and your teams respond to incidents and complaints, adhering to and reporting of KPI’s, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and legislation.

What will make me stand out from the crowd?

If you have….

  • operated at a senior management level within a Registered Provider environment
  • experience of leading successful multi-disciplinary teams
  • experience managing a large team, delivering diverse Housing and Neighbourhood Management, Allocations and Tenancy Enforcement services
  • a strong understanding of current legislation and best practice in relation to Allocations and Lettings
  • demonstrable experience of delivering a high performing service
  • experience of budget setting and financial control
  • experience of designing and shaping services
