Job Introduction

Due to growth, here at Your Housing Group, we are now looking to appoint an additional experienced Developer with C# skills to join our well established, multi-disciplined DevOps team, as a Full Stack Developer.

Working within a collaborative team of Developers, Business Analysts and Project Officers, reporting into the DevOps Delivery Manager, this role will provide you the opportunity to be involved in all development and application stages of the full project life cycle, contributing to a number of digital transformation projects, both in flight and planned for the future. Working predominantly with our assets and development teams you will also be a key stakeholder in projects to enhance both our Customer and Tenant portals.

We are looking for somebody who is passionate about continuously improving team culture, as part of the corporate digital vision, who wants to play an active part in identifying and delivering iterative products as part of our Digital Transformation.

What will my working week look like? 

This role offers flexible homeworking, ideally you will be based in the North West within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when required (approximately 3-4 times per month)

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be responsible for delivering software development on our digital stack against stories in Azure DevOps. You will be working with C#, Azure, MVC, AngularJS and Web.

As our Full Stack Developer, you will….

• Take ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables
• Participate in daily stand-ups, working closely with Product Owners and QAs to ensure quality development of new features and services
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve, with a drive to figure out root cause of technical code issues across our full digital stack
• Ensure code is written in line with best practice, relevant standards and compliance

• Strong experience in C#
• Experience with using Web API SOAP & REST Web Services
• Visual Studio/TFS, JavaScript, JSON, AngularJS, WCF, LINQ
• Proficiency with techniques for Continuous Integration & Deployment
• Have a passion for Agile / Scrum methodology practices

This role is really suited to someone who has a passion for software development and Agile/Scrum Methodology and has a keen creative eye for doing things differently.

This role also offers genuine progression opportunities with opportunities to cross skill into Dynamics, Biztalk, Azure, Angular and Umbraco.
