We have an exciting opportunity for a new role for a Regional Lettings & Allocations Officer to join us on a Fixed Term Contact for a period of 7 months. The successful post holder will need drive and have access to a vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the post. Travel is required to our Head Office, Youggle House for meetings and training, site visits to potential new developments, and regional different areas.

What will my working week look like? 

Reporting into the Service Manager for South Housing Operations, and group lead for Allocations and Lettings, you will be part of a team providing a service to both the South & North Regional Lettings Teams, also overseeing the first lettings of new homes to our customers!

You will be busy coordinating applications for housing with new customer through to the letting of a home, supporting the other regional teams to increase letting activity across the regions, and liaising with our development colleagues and housing teams.  

What will I be responsible for doing?

You will be KPI focused on reletting our empty homes quick and efficiently whilst providing our new customers a fantastic experience during our lettings onboarding service.

To be successful in this role you will need to be performance driven, focused on customer outcomes and a right first-time approach to service, solution focused, able to manage your own workload while meeting stretched targets, and able to work collaboratively across the business independently.

You will need to build and maintain strong working relationships with our partner Local Authorities and internal teams and be competent in the use of multiple ICT systems and channels.

In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to our services having a customer centric approach.

  • Broad understanding of social housing allocations processes and legislation.
  • Aware of best practice in safeguarding adults and children.
  • Demonstratable ability to meet targets in a performance focused environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload and work.
  • Ability to use a wide range of software systems Excellent teamwork and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience of working within a Letting’s environment.
  • Experience of working with customers in one-to-one situations.
  • GCSE Maths and English & CIH (or equivalent)
  •
