Salary Banding:  £42,000 - £48,000 per annum

Job Location:  Birchwood, Warrington

Contact Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 working Monday - Friday

Due to this growth, we now have a new opportunity for a proven and experienced Health & Safety Manager with a strong construction bias, to join the business and lead the way on developing and delivering a first-class Health and Safety service, implementing procedures and processes across all construction based projects throughout the Business.

The role of Health & Safety Manager (Construction bias) is varied, diverse and comes with a high level of autonomy, as you will have responsibility for both strategic and operational Health & Safety management of Group wide construction-based activities.

Reporting directly to the Group Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the H&S strategy for managing contractors, construction projects and R&M works in conjunction with the businesses H&S plan.

As this is a new position within the business, you have a real opportunity to put your own stamp on this role and be a driving force in designing effective H & S Plans that will become the standard for the business throughout Development, Asset, Compliance and Planned works whilst also ensuring legal compliance is adhered to effectively.

To be successful in this role and due to its high level of autonomy, you will need to have a strong technical background within construction, (preferably with some experience in small build projects) and will hold a NEBOSH (diploma) or NVQ level 5 in Health & Safety and be a graduate within IOSH as a minimum.

A keen influencer and facilitator, you will be hands on and able to give clear direction whilst onsite, yet also be strategically minded and able to assess the wider picture, identify gaps in process and create and roll out effective solutions. As a senior leader within the Health & Safety team you will also champion building a collaborative H&S culture throughout the business.
