Data & BI Business Partner

Job Introduction

Job Title:                Data & BI Business Partner

Salary:                   £51,000 – 57,000

Contract:               Permanent

Location:               Hybrid in Warrington

Weekly Hours:      35 hours per week

So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data & BI Business Partner to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. We’re driving forward our Data Strategy and Corporate Business Plan—so it’s a great time to be part of the journey.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for data, a sharp eye for detail, and a collaborative mindset to help us deliver smarter, data-driven solutions.

What will my working week look like?

You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed.  Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately 1 to 2 times a week

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you’ll lead the delivery of data-related projects and services, ensuring they’re well-planned, resourced, and aligned with our strategic goals. One of the great things about this role is the opportunity to manage technical business analysts and work closely with stakeholders to shape impactful data solutions. You’ll also support data governance, facilitate working groups, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be successful as a Data & BI Business Partner here at YHG, you will have:

  • Experience in managing data or BI-related projects and change initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Knowledge of BI tools and data governance frameworks
  • Experience of business case development and options appraisal analysis
  • Familiarity with Data & BI concepts such as Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and dashboard/reporting tools (ideally Power BI and Microsoft SQL/Azure
  • A solid understanding of project governance and lifecycle documentation

Ideally, you will be a collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in how data drives decision-making.

This role is really suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing technical resources even without deep technical expertise themselves.

This role also offers genuine progression opportunities—whether you’re looking to step into senior data leadership, expand your technical BI skills, or deepen your expertise in data governance and strategy. We’ll support your growth with training, mentoring, and exposure to high-impact projects across the Group.

If you feel this could be the right role for you, we would love to hear from you! For more detail on the role, please review the role profile available by visiting the vacancy on our website -www.yourhousinggroup.co.uk/careers.

That all sounds great, what’s in it for me?

In return we offer £51,000 – 56,000 for a 35-hour week, and 25 days annual leave (holidays also increase with time served) plus Bank Holidays, but our employee offering provides much more than just a competitive salary and holiday allowance.

At #TeamYHG we measure performance on outputs and quality, not hours and minutes. We offer a flexible, homeworking culture where you’re trusted to get the job done.  If you need time for an appointment, the school run or an exercise class, if it fits with business needs, we’re open to what works for you too. And when you need to collaborate with your team, you can visit Youggle House – our purpose-built collaboration, wellbeing, and social space in Birchwood, Warrington.

On top of this, we’ll provide you with a great benefits package, including a contributory pension where we match whatever you choose to contribute (up to 8%), an advanced level Healthcare cash plan through BHSF, that doesn’t just provide dental and optician cashback but also health and wellbeing benefits (such as 24/7 GP Access, money back from prescriptions and alternative therapy treatments) and an amazing discount scheme that gives you access to half price cinema tickets, subsidised gym memberships and a huge range of discounts with some of the biggest high street and online names.
