Job Title:  Tree Surveyor

Salary Banding:   £25,000 - £29,000

Job Location:  North West

Contract Duration: Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 (Monday to Friday)

Are you an experienced arborist looking for a fresh opportunity?

Your Housing Group (YHG) has an exciting opportunity for Tree Surveyor to carry out a tree survey covering around 600 sites in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.  You will be travelling around these areas on a daily basis, therefore, you will have access to your own vehicle and live within the North West. 

As a Tree Surveyor, you will utilize your Arboricultural qualification, ideally you will have a Foundation Degree in arboricultural Level 5 or equivalent, demonstrating your skills and experience providing an efficient Tree Surveying service. 

We’re looking for our Tree Surveyor to….

• provide specialist tree advice on a wide range of issues including, tree risk assessments, post-subsidence assessment, assessment of tree stability, woodland management and diagnosis of tree disease and ill-health.
• maintain and update the spatial Tree Stock Inventory on the teams’ GIS project
• investigate tree related enquires and complaints received from our customers and neighbours
• undertake Health and Safety Tree Surveys, Visual Tree Assessments (VTA)
• have an understanding of Tree Preservation Orders and Legislation and be able to Process planning and other statutory applications
• advise on dangerous structures and make recommendations for any programmed/emergency works required
• provide reports and technical support to colleagues and customers
