So…. What is this role exactly?

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a customer & results focused individual to step into the role of Tenancy Onboarding Officer. The starting point is that you will have experience of welfare benefits in a housing or public sector setting and an ability to work closely with others to deliver excellent customer service.


What will my working week look like?  

You will be homebased, ideally living in Warrington, as it is essential you live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington, to attend the office for meetings and training courses as required.


What will I be responsible for doing?

The main function of this role is to conduct assessments of all new customers to aid decision making on lets and viability of tenancy, as well as giving advice on maximising income. 

Fundamental to this role will be developing strong relationships with our lettings teams in particular, ensuring that we process assessments as quickly as possible, ensuring lettings can be achieved and affordability and other support needs established ahead of tenancies being granted.

There is an increasing demand for the YHG Welfare Benefit & Debt Advice service in response to the cost of-living crisis and you will need to demonstrate resilience working in a demanding and challenging environment.
