Hours (weekly): 35 Hours per week
Your Housing Group has a great opportunity for a Sheltered Scheme Manager covering two sites Otterburn House (M30 9GY) and Lancaster Lodge (M6 8NA), sheltered independent accommodation for people over 55.
In the rewarding, non-residential role of Sheltered Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day safety, security and wellbeing of the two schemes and the people who live there.
Your days will be varied, ranging from liaising with tenants and their families to signpost and support their needs, reporting repairs, undertaking Health and Safety checks, and ensuring the scheme is maintained to a high standard. You will manage voids and lettings, providing a housing management service to tenants.
You will ideally have previous experience of working with older people, with an understanding of their practical and emotional needs.
It’s a given as the Scheme Manager you will have strong communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, be self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
You will act as a co-ordinator, signposting and liaising with customer’s families and working in partnership with external agencies to ensure customer’s needs are met.
In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to support Value for Money throughout the organisation and have a passion for doing things right first time.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED (including Adult Barred) check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
