Job Title:  Scheme Manager

Salary Banding: £23,000 to £25,000

Job Location:  Cheadle

Hours (weekly):  35 hours (Monday – Friday)

What’s the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retirement Living Services (RLS) Scheme Manager based at our over 55’s Retirement Living Scheme at Smithy Croft, 107 Finney Lane, Heald Green, Cheadle, SK8 3PT.

What will I be responsible for doing?

Smithy Croft is not a care home/nursing home environment, tenants and leaseholders are supported and enabled to maintain an independent lifestyle.  As their Scheme Manager, you will provide support and advice to all customers, promoting a friendly community atmosphere.

It’s a given, you will have great communication skills and be a true “people person”, you will be commercially minded and always on the lookout for opportunities to improve and enhance the Group’s service to our customers. 

You will be responsible for delivering quality Retirement Living scheme services, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, performance is maximised and all activity supports the achievement of the Group’s vision and is aligned with the needs of older people.

As our Scheme Manager, you will utilise your previous people management skills, managing a team that provide housing and related services, signpost and liaise with customers and their families, and work in partnership with the on-site care provider and external agencies to ensure customer’s needs are always met. 

What will make me stand out from the crowd?

We’re looking for….

  • knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy/housing management principles
  • experience managing older people’s housing services/schemes
  • excellent relationship building skills; with internal and external customers
  • experience of managing staff (eg Cleaners and Handyperson roles)
  • the ability to work alone and organise your own workload

We offer a competitive salary of £23,000 to £25,000, 33 days annual leave, per holiday year.
