Scheme Manager Non Social Housing

Job Introduction

Your Housing Group has a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Scheme Manager, based at Waterside View, Chester City Centre, working 16½ hours per week; Monday to Thursday 9.30am-1pm and Friday 9.30am-12pm.

As the Scheme Manager, you are responsible for supporting customers’ individual needs, for example offering advice regarding housing processes, access to funding, as well as budget management.    Handling all customer enquiries and non-formal complaints at scheme level, is also an integral part of your role. 

You will supervise the cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts on site as well as reporting repairs and liaising with contractors, to ensure the highest standards are always maintained.

As the Scheme Manager, you will complete relevant documentation eg Health & Safety documents, fire safety checks and customer support/referrals.  You’ll also receive payment for guest room use and ideally have experience working with Older People in a housing setting, although not essential.

  • are able to influence and are comfortable with negotiation
  • have an awareness if basic housing process
  • good PC skills
  • experience of lone working and using your own initiative

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and therefore as part of the Group’s pre-employment checks, successful  applicants will be required to complete a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
