What’s the role?
We have an exciting opportunity for an someone who has experience in or Assurance or Risk related roles; you will be homebased, living within the North West, and a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to be able to attend meetings and training.

What will I be responsible for doing?
Lots of really varied things! This Risk & Assurance Team reaches all parts of the business and has a wide scope of work, we are a really friendly team and collaborative working is at the heart of how we operate.
Essentially, you will support with the development and maintenance of a robust assurance and risk framework, making sure that risks and internal controls are being managed appropriately. Providing assurance back to the business on the effectiveness of these risks and controls is also a key part of the role .
You will be highly visible, working cross functionally to support the business ensuring that they have the correct process in place to support controls, risks and the audit programme.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills are an absolute must as you will be engaging with all areas of the business and working with people at all levels to encourage a consistent and proactive risk management culture.
You will ensure the smooth running of the internal audit plan, assisting with maintaining effective business continuity arrangements, assisting with the assurance framework the management of incidents.

- experience in a Risk or/and Assurance, including audit and Risk Management exposure
- experience of seeing projects through from beginning to end
- business continuity experience
- Good people skills
- excellent analytical skills, maintaining accuracy/attention to detail, effective time management with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
