This is an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager, who is passionate about supporting older people, to take the lead with our highly supportive team at Reeve Court Retirement Village.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference! A genuine “people person”; that puts the customer at the heart of everything they do, as its essential you remain well connected to our customers, listen to their views, opinions and feedback and building excellent working relationships, to help them feel valued and listened to, and enable you and your team to provide them with a caring and professional high-quality service.

At Reeve Court, residents are supported and enabled to maintain an independent lifestyle.  As their Scheme Manager, you will provide support, signposting, and advice to all customers, promoting a friendly, community atmosphere.

What will I be responsible for doing?

As the on-site staff lead, working in partnership with stakeholders at Reeve Court, you will be responsible for delivering quality Retirement Living Scheme services, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, performance is maximized, and all activity supports both our customers and the achievement of the Groups vision and is aligned with the needs of older people.

As our Scheme Manager, you will utilise your previous people management skills, managing a small team that provide housing and related services (Administrators and a Handyperson) and oversee all building compliance.

You will also work in partnership with any on-site care providers and external agencies to ensure customer’s needs are always met. 

 It’s a given you will be self-motivated, enjoy interacting with older people, and always on the lookout for opportunities to improve and enhance YHG’s service to our customers.

To be successful as a Scheme Manager, here at YHG, you will have….

  • A good knowledge of housing legislation in relation to tenancy / housing management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and develop good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners
  • Good administrative IT, and organisational skills able to prioritise a busy workload  
  • Experience of managing Older People’s Housing Services
  • Experience of managing staff
