Salary Banding:         £24,575 to £26,000

Job Location:              Sheffield

Contract Duration:   Permanent 

Hours (weekly):         35 hours (Monday to Friday)

Your Housing Group have a fabulous opportunity for a Retirement Living Scheme (RLS) Officer based at Brunswick Gardens Village Sheffield (S13 7RB), which is in the midst of an exciting major works programme upgrade, so you’ll have the opportunity to use your excellent communication skills to engage with the many stakeholders on site.

We’re looking for…….

  • good knowledge of housing legislation in relation to housing and leaseholder management
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships with customers, colleague and partners
  • good administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your busy workload
  • excellent IT skills with a solid understanding of using Microsoft (e.g. word, Excel & ideally familiar with Orchard & Documotive but not essential),
  • strong communication skills
  • previous experience of managing a team

As our RLS Officer, you’ll enjoy working with members of the public, particularly older people, whilst supporting your colleagues to ensure empty properties are swiftly re-let, promptly undertaking lettings and property allocations, including managing sales and support the reassignment of leases, whilst ensuring compliance with our internal key performance indicators.  You’ll be self-motivated, enjoy working alone and enjoy interacting with Older People, whilst managing your workload, maintaining excellent attention to detail. 

You’ll also ensure customer excellence is achieved, Scheme performance is maximised whilst continuing to develop and enhance our relationship with our onsite care provider, Extracare Charitable Trust (ECCT).    The scheme is staffed 24 hours a day, in partnership with ECCT, you will be working 35 hours each week, generally Monday to Friday, however we’re looking for some flexibility. on occasion, to support colleagues as part of the major works programme upgrade.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS BASIC check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
