Salary:  £8,463 per annum, plus rent paid on-site accommodation

Job Location:  Urmston

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  17.5 hours (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 12:00 Midday)

Your Housing Group has a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Resident Scheme Manager, based at Winster House, Urmston (M41 5PD), a Leasehold Scheme for the Elderly (LSE), for the over 55’s.

In the rewarding, residential role of Resident Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day safety, security and wellbeing of the Scheme and those who live there. 

Your days will be varied, ranging from liaising with tenants and their families to signposting and supporting their needs, reporting repairs, undertaking Health and Safety checks, and ensuring the scheme is maintained to a high standard. 

It is a given that as the Resident Scheme Manager you will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be self-motivated with excellent communication skills.   You will have previous experience working with older people, having an understanding of their practical and emotional needs.

As the Resident Scheme Manager, you will be provided with on-site accommodation, comprising of a three-bedroom house attached to the Scheme, in addition to the annual salary indicated, your rent will be paid for this property and it’s a requirement of this role and our lease agreement that the Resident Scheme Manager resides at the on-site accommodation.

Your contracted hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am-12.00 midday, with a degree of flexibility, as you may be required to work outside of these hours from time-to-time.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
