So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Business Change and Transformation Team. We are looking to expand the team to be able to deliver some exciting and challenging projects and programmes that will support the delivery of the Groups strategic objectives and business plan. It’s a great time to join us as you’ll be part of this journey from the start as we build the team and get the projects underway. We are looking for a Project Manager with a passion for what they do and who really wants to make this role their own, not just the day-to-day management of projects but also keen to work collaboratively with a team of Business Analysts and Project Managers within a PMO to deliver high quality standards of work, initiating best practice and most importantly utilising data to influence and inform on business decisions around projects.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of Business Change projects that support the Group to deliver on strategic objectives and business plans. You’ll be involved from the start and will work with the Business Analysts and Project Sponsor to build the case for change, articulate benefits and secure Business Case approval. From then on in it’s all about getting the projects over the line, tracking and realising those benefits and hitting the business plan.

One of the great things about this role is that we are building a new PMO so you’ll be part of this from the start. You will have the opportunity to shape, develop and improve how the Project Managers work within the PMO as well as, delivering an outstanding Project Management service to the business, helping to build the credibility and reputation of the team as you go.

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be a successful as Project Manager here at YHG, you will need a solid Project Management background, be absolutely delivery focused and not afraid to challenge the status quo. You will have the qualifications to back up your experience (Prince 2 practitioner / APM or equivalent). Experience of Project Management within the public sector will definitely make you stand out from the crowd!

You will be a strong relationship builder with a high level of gravitas, able to communicate at all levels and motivate, influence and challenge when needed. Ideally you will have outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.

This role is really suited to someone that likes to have a high level of autonomy in their role. Is driven and passionate about delivering an outstanding service. Who is a collaborative team player, keen to get involved, with a genuine passion to add value within the PMO.

In return we offer a salary of £45,000 – £50,000 for a 35-hour week, and 33 days annual leave but our benefits are far more than a competitive salary and holiday allowance.
