Older Peoples Services Area Manager

Job Introduction

Role:  Older Peoples Services Area Manager - YHG/TP/12929/442

Salary:  £40,000 - £50,250 per annum, plus excellent benefits

Location:  Flexible covering Staffordshire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire

Duration:  Permanent

Hours:  35 per week working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Tier: 3

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to shape and deliver services for older people in retirement living and sheltered housing, including PFI and mixed tenure schemes.

With a track record in housing management and support services, ideally for older or vulnerable people, you will lead a large and dispersed staff team to deliver high quality services to meet and exceed customer need. You will have experience in contract management, a keen commercial focus and an ability to identify and drive efficiencies. You will have operated at management level and have a demonstrable ability to successfully inspire, motivate and lead a high performing team.

Your strong results focus will be crucial to ensure success in this role, with excellent people skills to develop others and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.  You will have professional experience and ideally hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Institute of Housing - CIOH). 

In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to support Value for Money throughout the organisation and have a passion for doing things right first time.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore a DBS Enhanced check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
