Salary Banding: £24,000 - £28,000

Job Location: Greater Manchester

Contract Duration: Fixed Term Contract to May 2024

Hours (weekly): 35

What is this role exactly?

Due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity for an Older People Services Officer, for approximately 2 years.  This is currently a fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment, please don’t let that put you off applying for this truly rewarding role, as there’s a possibility of extension or a permanent role.

What will I be doing?

You will be managing a team of Independent Living Scheme Managers in Greater Manchester, providing housing and related services, signposting and liaising with customers and their families.  You will also be responsible for lettings and tenancy management across Greater Manchester. 

 

Keeping customers safe is our top priority, and you’ll be working towards customer safety focused key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting Health & Safety checks.  You will also be liaising with contractors on site (gardening, cleaning, reinvestment work) with a focus on customer satisfaction.

  • strong people management and motivation skills, we’ve some new people in the team, who’ll be looking to you for guidance and support
  • great communication skills - a true “people person”
  • previous experience of housing management services
  • knowledge of housing legislation and housing management principles
  • a commercial mindset - always on the lookout for opportunities to improve and enhance the service offered to your customers
  • experience liaising with on site contractors
  • experience of meeting KPIs and undertaking required checks

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £24,000 - £28,000, and up to 33 days annual leave, incl statutory Bank Holidays. For this post, all business travelling around your ‘patch’ of Greater Manchester can also be reclaimed.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and therefore as part of the Group’s pre-employment checks, successful applicants will be required to complete a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
