Due purely to the natural end of a permitted tenure, we now have an opportunity to appoint 2 Non-Executive Directors to the Board of Directors, here at Your Housing Group

There’s a great deal that’s different about Your Housing Group. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to building and maintaining as many quality houses as possible. We have a large and diverse portfolio of over 25,000 properties for social and affordable rent, supported living, and innovative private rental offers, spanning the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, and are a Strategic Partner to Homes England.

In the last few years, we have streamlined our group structure and developed more effective business/customer facing services. We have invested a significant amount in our assets and are well advanced in our Building Safety works. As an organisation we have planned for the future and are working now to ensure we meet the Government’s Energy Efficiency targets and the upcoming changes to the Regulator’s consumer standards.

We also know that the sector faces some incredible challenges as we move forward, and we want to continue to ensure our Board represents all kinds of backgrounds, perspectives, and reflects the communities we serve, so we are looking to attract Non-Executive Directors that share our vision, values, and goals to steer us through the next stage of our development.

As a Non-Executive Director, you’ll be instrumental in setting our strategic direction. You will bring a fresh viewpoint and ideas which help us to innovate and influence what a housing provider can do.

Right now, we are keen to hear from senior leaders with experience of the Housing, Construction or Property sectors, particularly those that can bring with them strong financial services or consumer service experience.

If you can commit around three days a month for Board meetings, to work closely and collaboratively with other Board Members to develop our strategy and ensure compliance and are willing to act as an ambassador for YHG, then there’s an opportunity here for you to make a real contribution to the strategic decisions made at YHG at the highest level.
