Night & Weekend Site Supervisor

So…. What is this role exactly?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night & Weekend Site Supervisor, based at Bridge Foyer, in Chester (CH1 4JR).

Bridge Foyer provides accommodation, support and learning opportunities to young people aged between 16 and 25, helping them to transition from dependence to independence and as our Night & Weekend Site Supervisor, you will play a key role ensuring a safe and secure environment.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with Young People, has a good level of administration experience, strong attention to detail when recording information and of course, excellent communication skills.

What will my working week look like? 

As the scheme is staffed 24 hours a day and provides a low to medium support service, working alone, the Night & Weekend Supervisor ensures the building, and its residents are safe and secure outside normal office hours.  

You’ll be working 37½ on a 3-week rota basis, as summarised below:

  • Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 7:45pm-08:15am
  • Week 2: Saturday & Sunday 7:45am-20:15pm
  • Week3: Monday, Tuesday& Wednesday 7:45pm-08:15am

What will I be responsible for doing?

As our Night & Weekend Site Supervisor, you will…

  • control access to the Scheme
  • carry out internal and external patrols
  • monitor security and CCTV systems - recording any events in the Foyer’s logbook, ensure everything is fully and accurately noted
  • passed on all information at handover (at the end of your shift
  • taking responsibility and ownership of all monies received for rent and overnight guests whilst on shift

Ideally, you will…

  • be able to relate to our vulnerable residents with empathy
  • have an understanding of safeguarding risks regarding young people or experience working with young people (desirable)

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and will require the post holder to carry out ‘Regulated Activity’ as defined under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.
