This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to join our highly engaged team. Coops Foyer is a supported housing project for 24 young people aged 16-25 and offers young people the opportunity to make progress in their lives, to build resilience & meet their aspirations.
The Move On Officer will help prepare young people for the transition from living at the Foyer into independent tenancies in the community; running the in house ‘Move On Programme’ with Coops Foyer residents. The Move On Officer supports each young person who moves on from the Foyer and then supports a caseload of young people once they are in their own tenancies to ensure they maintain and thrive. The Move On Officer needs to be an excellent people person, building and maintaining links with various partner organisations, and able to manage their own caseload within working hours.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED (including Child Barred List) check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
