So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a customer focussed and experienced Money Advice Team Leader to join our customer services team.  You will be homebased living within a 25 mile radius of our Head Office in Warrington, to be able to attend regular meetings and training.

We are looking for an individual who is resilient, well organised and be able to support a team of Money Advice Officers to deliver the best service possible to our customers.

What will my working week look like? 

You will be working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.  You will be homebased, living within a 25-mile radius of Warrington and a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, to attend meetings and training courses.  

Your day-to-day work will involve….

  • Overseeing the operations of approximately 7 members of the Money Advice Team
  • Conducting regular 121s and PDR meetings
  • Advising and supporting the team with complex cases
  • Monitoring outputs from the team to ensure KPIs are achieved
  • Reviewing caseload and conducting quality checks

What will I be responsible for doing?

You will be responsible for a team of around seven, providing line management support, supervision and providing expert guidance to your team on complex cases. Here at YHG have a significant focus on ensuring we are getting the root cause of issues with our customers, to ensure they get the right support at the right time. You will play a key role in this, regularly undertaking case audits and assessing the team against our KPIs. Our Money Advice Team Leaders are also actively involved in decision making around service delivery and are key to the implementation of new ways of working and developing relationships across functions, and externally.

To be successful as a Money Advice Team Leader, here at YHG, you will have….

  • Specialist knowledge of money advice, including debt remedies and benefits
  • Line management experience.
  • Experience in dealing with difficult customers, some of whom may be demanding/vulnerable.
  • Experience of carrying out case reviews and advising on optimum approach to supporting customer with debt and complex benefit problems

  • Self-motivated
  • A strong communicator with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and planning skills with an ability to acquire knowledge and grasp new concepts quickly
  • Focused/target driven and thrive in a highly performance driven environment
