So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal disrepair works coordinator to work within the Asset management team. 

The role is vital to ensure from receipt of the Expert Surveyors that the specifically identified works contained within the expert’s report are drafted into a schedule of works and are undertaken within an agreed time scale and to the requisite legal standard. 

The role requires someone with the skills, knowledge and experience of legal cases to manage both multiple contractors and customer expectations, and who has previous experience of multi complex disrepair case litigation.

What will my working week look like?  

You will be a regional worker, living within the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, we are looking for someone with proven knowledge and experience of delivering remedial works programmes on live legal cases whilst dealing with other interested parties.

You will have a proven record of working independently on your own case load without the need for close supervision and you will have excellent communication skills.

One of the great things about this role is the variety of challenges you will face as a legal disrepair works coordinator, as no 2 days are ever the same.

To be a successful as a Legal works coordinator, here at YHG, you will have….. 

Strong knowledge of building legislation, maintenance management best practice, along with a good understanding of Construction compliance, Health and Safety and risk

You will have experience of preparing and managing schedules of works in live legal cases and be able to demonstrate key leadership skills whilst dealing with critically developing situations. You will have experience of project management.

You will have or be working towards a degree or equivalent level qualification  

Ideally you will be a 

Collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision 

You will have the personal and professional drive and desire to excel in this area

You will have previous experience of working with or within the Social Housing Sector on legal disrepair claims

This role is ideally suited to someone with the skill set confidence, knowledge and ability needed to make on the spot critical decision-making judgements in live litigation matters to achieve successful outcomes.
