Job Title:  Income Assistant

Salary:  circa £20,500

Job Location:  Homebased North West

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly): 35 (Monday to Friday)

What’s the role?

Your Housing Group has an exciting opportunity for a homebased Income Assistant; you will play a crucial part in supporting the income team to deliver a proactive income collection service.

What will I be responsible for doing?

You will provide support to the wider income team, handling customer contacts, both telephone and email based; you will also be handling and responding to correspondence from customers, Local Authorities and the DWP – Department for Work & Pensions.

As our Income Assistant, you will…

  • be driven to provide the best service to our customers – aiming to get it right first time
  • be well organised with strong administrative skills and have experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
  • be a strong communicator, with a high level of attention to detail
  • enjoy working as part of a fast-paced team, able to achieve targets and deadlines whilst working effectively under daily pressure

What would make me stand out from the crowd?

You will have previous experience in an administration role and ideally be familiar with supporting customers in a social housing setting.

Job Title:                Debit Collection Assistant

Salary:                        circa  £20,500

Job Location:             Homebased 2

Contract Duration:     Permanent

Hours (weekly):          35

Grade:                         H

We have an exciting opportunity for a Debit Collection Assistant – a role that plays a crucial part in supporting the income team to deliver a proactive income collection service.   

Our operational hours are Monday to Friday 8am-7pm and Saturdays 9am-5pm.  You’ll be working 35 hours per week, including occasional Saturday’s on a weekly shift rotation. 

You will be flexible and already have strong administration, organisation and planning skills with an ability to acquire knowledge and grasp new concepts quickly.  Ideally, you will have already worked in a demanding customer service environment and be/have:-

  • The drive to provide the best possible service to our customers & getting it right first time
  • Excellent administrative skills with experience in Microsoft Word/Excel
  • A strong communicator with a high level of attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a fast-paced team
  • Able to achieve targets and deadlines whilst working under daily pressure
