Job Title:  IT Applications and Digital Manager

Salary Banding:  £55,000 - £60,000

Job Location:  Homebased North West

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 (Monday to Friday)

Are you an experienced Applications and Digital Manager with great people management and leadership skills seeking your next challenge?

Your Housing Group has an exciting opportunity for a capable Applications and Digital Manager to lead our Applications Support and Development Teams accountable for developing, delivering, supporting and maintaining YHGs application portfolio across the Group, whilst also helping to shape the future application landscape.  

There’s a lot of great things happening within ICT, here at Your Housing Group. The team is growing and evolving as we continue to move to further Enterprise level systems within the business and its this growth that has led to the requirement for an Applications and Digital Manager. 

Over the coming months, you will have the opportunity to lead the team to deliver on a number of key projects which include moving the business to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM system, and the consolidation of further legacy applications into 4-6 core systems, so there’s a lot of significant change projects to keep you challenged, interested and further develop your experience.

As Applications and Digital Manager, you will be the subject matter expert in applications and bring an in-depth technical understanding of application development, support and maintenance along with a broad understanding of the wider IT disciplines (infrastructure servers, networking, data storage, Project Management, ITIL etc) and how these functions come together to achieve a common goal. You will be confident consulting with senior leaders in the wider business and external partners to YHG as a critical friend.

It’s a given you will possess in-depth knowledge and experience of a wide range of applications and how they interface together, data interrogation and the manipulation of back-end systems to enable you to lead on complex applications projects.  You will also bring with you experience of managing diverse, multi-disciplined teams working to differing methodologies including agile delivering via sprints, as well as more traditional support and maintenance delivery.

This role offers permanent, flexible homeworking which is embedded into the culture here at YHG. However, you will need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Collaboration Space in Birchwood, Warrington to enable you to attend meetings and training when needed.

If you have…..

  • Excellent team management and leadership skills
  • Experience of interpreting and delivering IT strategy (specific to applications & development)
  • Experience in delivering application support in a multi discipline organisation
  • Experience of collaboratively working across a multi-discipline Technical team
  • Experience of operational supplier management (owning and managing relationships and delivery against contractual commitments)
  • Experience of managing agile delivery
  • A background in software delivery either as a BA/software engineer/ solutions architect.
  • Understanding of the wider digital & cloud landscape
  • Knowledge of CRM Systems (Dynamics CRM 2016 or 365 or similar)
