So…. What is this role exactly?

Your Housing Group are undertaking a wide-ranging Technology programme, alongside the day-to-day work to maintain & improve our systems.  We are looking for an ICT Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help us successfully manage the requests for work coming into the Infrastructure team and being able to share their expertise to identify the right solutions and move ICT in the direction of our future roadmap.

You will be homebased, living within the North-West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses as required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for IT infrastructure and the desire to drive innovative approaches to managing our infrastructure, whilst ensuring the protection of existing live services.

What will my working week look like? 

You’ll be required to visit our Head Office in Warrington approximately 1 or 2 times a month, but this can vary week by week and you can have some influence on the frequency based on how you interact with your colleagues.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will have responsibility for ensuring the stability and availability of our IT infrastructure, which supports our key business applications, alongside our 3rd party suppliers.

You will be responsible for the lifecycle of infrastructure systems, from inception of ideas right through to decommissioning, involving implementation, handover documentation, maintenance and upgrades delivered through projects and change control.  You will provide third & fourth line support to these systems, guide other members of the team and collaborate with other operational teams to solve complex problems.
