Salary Banding:  £32,000 - £39,750

Job Location:  Preston

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 (Monday to Friday)

Your Housing Group an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our inspiring, positive and supportive ICT function during a period of significant change in systems, process and strategies. 

As the ICT Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will provide a proactive hands-on approach for the maintenance and support of the Group’s IT infrastructure encompassing server virtualisation, Office 365, Windows 10 devices/end user environment, Active Directory, cloud services, Microsoft systems and Group wide telephony services

Based at our Call Centre in Preston, you will work with the Service Delivery teams to achieve service level objectives and provide 2nd and 3rd line support ensuring a quality of service is delivered to the group.    

If the below is of interest, we would really like to hear from you:

  • Provide our Service Desk with a point of escalation for complex infrastructure related issues.
  • Resolve complex technical problems within specified Service Level Agreements’ and in accordance with the Group's policies & processes. Ensure that all solutions produced are accurate and meet relevant standards
  • Responsible for technical maintenance programme and resolving failures in hardware and software and ensuring appropriate “housekeeping” tasks are implemented such as Backups.
  • Implement, develop and support the Windows 10 End User environments.
  • Assist in the delivery of ICT infrastructure projects to deliver the required solution ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and ensuring that the solution is properly handed over to the Service Desk.
  • Assist with the effective testing of new systems, releases and major upgrades applying suitable test methodologies as required.
  • Work with 3rd party support and delivery partners, ensuring that they work to the Group’s internal standards and procedures.
