What will my working week look like?  

This is a home-based role, ideal for someone living in the Northwest and within reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington. While most of your work will be remote, you’ll be expected to attend meetings, training sessions, and team collaboration days at Head Office as and when required, approximately 4 times a month.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in providing critical application support across the Group. You will analyse and diagnose application issues, delivering both short-term resolutions and long-term improvements.

As an Applications Support Specialist, you will:

  • Take ownership of incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution
  • Contribute to daily stand-ups and team activities
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, focusing on root cause analysis
  • Ensure all work is delivered in line with best practice, standards, and compliance

To be successful as an Applications Support Specialist, you will have experience in:

  • Providing technical support for critical applications within a complex environment
  • Documenting and quickly learning new systems and applications
  • Identifying opportunities for functional improvements and implementing changes
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring robust audit trails

Ideally, you will:

  • Have a solid understanding of the ITIL Service Management Framework
  • Be a collaborative team player who works effectively with others
  • Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills
