Job Title:  Health and Safety Trainer

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Job Location: Agile

Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 (Monday – Friday)

Due to continued growth, Your Housing Group has a fantastic opportunity for another Health and Safety Trainer to join a developing Learning & Development team, where you will have the opportunity to influence this development.

As Health & Safety Trainer, you will be part of a wider team of Learning and Development and Health and Safety experts (based at our Head Office in Warrington), responsible for the design and delivery of a suite of Health and Safety training courses and materials across the organisation.

This is an ‘agile’ role – so what does that mean? You’ll will manage your own diary in line with business requirements and will be out and about delivering training at our various office locations, which are predominantly based in the North West with some trips to Staffordshire and Yorkshire, so you’ll need to be able to travel to these locations and you will be paid mileage from/to home. 

The role of H&S Trainer is a role your sleeves up, hands-on role, where you will be challenged to deliver a wide range of Health and Safety topics to staff of all different levels in a thriving business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the design and delivery of a suite of in-house Health and Safety training courses which support our colleagues across the business.
  • Create engaging training content (face to face, online etc.) that inspires and enables significant shifts in ability, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Use new technology to ensure the best delivery method of Health and Safety training.
  • Where face to face delivery might not be the most efficient way, recommend or design alternatives.
  • With support from the wider team, ensure the development and maintenance of H&S training profiles for employees across the organisation.
  • Support the wider Learning & Development Team to produce a robust H&S training plans which are aligned to the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Learning and Development experience gained delivering topics such as Health and Safety for managers, Manual handling, Sharps, Legionella Awareness, Fire Marshall and Personal Safety.
  • Experience of informing training needs analysis.
  • Ability to engage at all levels, connecting with and inspiring your colleagues
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • PTLLS/DTLLS or similar training qualification
