Salary: £48,000 - £60,300 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Location: Birchwood, Warrington or Preston, Lancashire
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week, working Monday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Insurance & Fleet Manager, reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, accountable for the strategic leadership, design, procurement, implementation and management of the Group’s insurance programme across our £1.1billion asset base and circa 150 vehicles and 800 grey fleet users.
You will have significant experience within the insurance market with a strong focus on property cover, joint ventures, a deep understanding of the social housing sector and working in a complex and changing environment. The post holder will have extensive experience of the full end to end insurance claims process, negotiating with underwriters on the acceptance of risk/premium reduction and managing a commercial fleet together with a strong working knowledge of insurance law.
In addition, good insurance provider relationship management is essential to the success of this role, as you will be required to hold Providers and Brokers to account with a strong commercial focus in order to ensure negotiated efficiencies are actually achieved and a continuous improvement ethos is sustained.
This is a challenging and interesting role that gives you the opportunity to strategically drive the insurance and new fleet programme whilst also maintaining the required quality and customer service standards.
We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills to drive cross-functional change in our approach to insurance and fleet management and be confident developing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships at Board/Executive Leadership Team level and with Senior Management at key suppliers.
Applicants must be a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute with a considerable amount of relevant post-qualification work experience, or have substantial experience in all areas of insurance to be considered qualified by experience. You must also hold a professional qualification with Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) at intermediary level or above (or equivalent).
