Due to this, we are now looking to appoint a Head of Compliance that can demonstrate experience of property compliance and knowledge of current social housing regulations and safety standards.
Your Housing Group is growing and evolving, we have recently been named a strategic partner to Homes England making it a great time to come and get involved. This partnership means there are some fantastic multi-team programs on the horizon including further new homes development, construction projects, established asset investment and planned works as we continue grow our portfolio and upgrade our existing portfolio of assets. The Head of Asset compliance and their established multidiscipline compliance team will be absolutely instrumental in helping YHG deliver the highest level of compliance across all disciplines (Fire, gas, electrical, legionella, asbestos and lifts), therefore ensuring our customers receive the highest level of safety standards in their homes in everything we do!
As Head of Compliance you have full autonomy for the strategic and operational direction of Your Housing Group’s response to its statutory and regulatory compliance obligations in the management and maintenance of its assets and services. Working closely with the Head of Building Safety, you will also have significant input into the delivery of YHGs response to the building safety agenda and Fire Safety Bill, so will need to be capable of successfully building credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
As Head of Asset Compliance here at YHG , you will develop and drive through effective strategies, policies, processes and programmes which deliver the Group’s high compliance and service standards within set budgets, whilst ensuring high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction and value for money. Therefore, a strong track record in delivering effective servicing & maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio, experience of managing statutory compliance contracts, procurement activity and optimising technology to drive value, is key for this role.
To be successful as YHGs new Head of Asset compliance, along with experience of managing compliance teams and disciplines, you will have the ability to understand and translate legislation, regulation and guidance into practice. You will have a strong future focus, able to understand and utilise the thinking and methodologies behind reporting and metrics to effectively determine data and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of risk and how external factors will affect compliance (e.g. contractor, resident behaviour etc). Ideally you will have a questioning mind, always looking to challenge, test and prove and will be a champion on continuous improvement, collaboration, challenge, review & reflection.
Along with a real opportunity to shape the change here at YHG, and develop a first-class compliance service delivery program, we offer our Head of Asset Compliance a competitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000, plus 9/10% car allowance.
