So…. What is this role exactly?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join our medium sized Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading housing association with a large and diverse portfolio.
We are looking for an experienced professional to provide their accounting expertise by leading on the group’s financial accounting function.
What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses. You’ll be required to visit our Head Office approximately twice a month.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be responsible for the preparation of the Group Financial Statements and take the lead on managing the external audit to ensure all accounts and Housing Sector returns are signed and filed within agreed deadlines.
One of the great things about this role is that you will be given a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to work cross-functionally across the department.
Other duties include management of the Fixed Asset team, consolidation of the group accounts, legal entity reporting, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and management of VAT and Corporation Tax returns.
