This is an exciting opportunity for a Groundworker/Bricklayer to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division, Fix 360 and provide a high quality repairs service to our customers.

What will my working week look like?  

As part of the Damp and Mould Team we cover the entire YHG stock for repairs, so it will be regional but kept in a specific patch daily.  You will also need to be based within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be providing a quality repairs service to our customers, travelling to designated properties, undertaking, and completing all aspects of groundwork and bricklaying repair work

As a member of our Damp & Mould Team, you will carry out various work on maintenance, major and minor construction works, for both void and tenanted properties owned by Your Housing Group. You will be confident and capable, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.

To be a successful as a Groundworker/Bricklayer

Ideally you will be a ……. 

  • Full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
  • Experienced in flagging, patch tarmac, bricklaying, pointing and checking/cleaning wall cavities.
  • May also be required from time to time to undertake other minor multi trade tasks, based on skill sets.
  • NVQ Level 2 Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency
  • Basic health and safety knowledge in a repair’s environment.

In return we offer £31,500 for a 40-hour week, plus a Company van and fuel card (for business use), paid overtime and a Monday to Friday only working week.
