So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graphic & Digital Designer to join our well established, yet very busy creative team, in the Communications, Engagement & Marketing (CEM) department at Your Housing Group.

You’ll be homebased with regular attendance at our collaboration, social and wellbeing space, Youggle House in Birchwood Warrington.

You will be educated in graphic design (diploma level or above), with extensive experience in a similar role and will bring with you a passion and enthusiasm for design and content creation.

What will my working week look like?

No two days are ever the same. From designing on and offline marketing and communications collateral, to campaign development, to supporting the creative aspect at our many live events, you will be expected to manage your own time, workloads and stakeholders and adopt an ‘inhouse agency’ approach.

You will be homebased and living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our collaboration, social and wellbeing space in Warrington, to attend collaboration sessions, events, meetings and training courses.

You’ll be required to visit our Head Office approximately 2 - 3 times per month.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will support the CEM team in the creation and production of digital and physical artwork; website landing pages, emails, social media advertising, print, banners, brochures, promotional material, signage etc.

One of the great things about this role is the variety, you’ll be providing design to support our employee engagement, on and offline customer communications, marketing collateral for our new build development programme and video production within our very own recording studio and conferencing space.

Typographic flair is key, as is an awareness of general marketing trends and competitor activity. A keen interest in illustration, and a fun approach to graphic design which champions our two brands, is essential.  You will be great at generating ideas and fascinated by brands and how they communicate their vision and values. A design graduate, you’ll be up to speed with the latest ‘tech’ and have excellent Adobe Suite skills.

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be a successful as a graphic and digital designer at YHG, you will be conceptually minded with a natural flair for creating exciting ‘big’ ideas and concepts that engage both colleagues and customers.  You will have….

  • extensive experience of using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • excellent attention to detail

You will…

  • be collaborative team player
  • have a passion to consistently deliver a first-class design service

This role is really suited to someone with creative flair, with an ability to influence artistic direction of campaigns, and a clear understanding of how to create online assets for use across multiple devices and online platforms.

If this sounds right up your street and you are looking for a new and exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you!
