Contract Duration:      Permanent

Hours (weekly):           35 (Monday to Friday)

Your Housing Group has a brand-new opportunity for a Fire Safety Manager to join the Asset team as the strategic lead and SME for all things fire related!

As our Fire Safety Manager, you will be managing the fire safety of a mixed portfolio of properties. You will identify any fire safety risks and deliver plans to manage the property portfolio’s fire safety.

You will be predominantly homebased living within the North West and a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office/Collaboration Hub in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings, 121’s and training when required.

As the Fire Safety manager, you will focus on property structure and maintenance, fire strategies, building compliance obligations and, of course, customer safety, in our properties.  You will engage customers in the safe management of their property, as well as working with other stakeholders eg Local Authorities and Fire and Rescue Services. You’ll ensure quality and control measures are in place to ensure a safe environment for us and our customers.

It’s a given, you’ll be a key member of the Compliance management team working closely with senior colleagues contributing to the overall management of statutory Fire compliance, Group policy and process, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive service, in line with relevant legislation, regulation and guidance.

As this is a new role, you’ll also develop policies, procedures and systems to effectively support us to effectively manage our building safety requirements.

  • have Fire Safety management experience
  • can lead a passionate and driven team
  • have experience managing building safety risks
  • possess in-depth knowledge of fire, building and structural safety related to Social Housing
  • are customer focused and capable of managing stakeholder relationships with the Group, contractors and residents
  • can clearly and concisely provide technical information to a non technical audience
