Job Introduction

So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Co-ordinator with some experience within either fire safety, compliance or repairs and maintenance, to join our Asset Compliance team, as a Fire Safety Co-ordinator.

We are looking for a highly skilled co-ordinator, with a track record in customer service, contract management support and data excellence. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a passion for ensuring our customers’ safety remains our primary concern.

What will my working week look like?

Your Housing Group offers a great hybrid work culture. You will be a regional worker and your week will include a mixture of working from home, attending site to support with site/customer visits and attending our head office for meetings and training courses when needed.

You will live within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington and be able to attend YHG’s residential buildings as required.

What will I be responsible for doing?

You will take ownership and accountability for coordinating FRA actions from allocation through to completion, ensuring contractors deliver works on time, property access is gained, and evidence/certification is received.

You will keep the compliance management system up to date and accurate by inputting, monitoring, and verifying data as well as producing a high standard of compliance performance reports to management.

You will be proactive in supporting YHG to complete any open FRA actions and will work closely with our fire safety contractors to find solutions to any problems that may be preventing FRA actions from being completed. This includes taking the lead on our Gain Access procedure to support with difficult to access properties.

You will work collaboratively with all our key stakeholders including your YHG colleagues, customers, contractors, and the Fire Service. Working with other teams to raise awareness of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements, you’ll help to promote a safety-first culture and will feel comfortable in professionally challenging colleagues when targets for FRA or fire service actions aren’t met.
