Salary Banding:            £50,000 - £55,000

Job Location:                 North West

Contract Duration:     Permanent

Hours (weekly):          35 (Monday to Friday)

Are you an Energy Specialist looking for a fresh challenge?

Your Housing Group is looking for a passionate, energetic Energy and Sustainability Manager, to help lead our decarbonisation strategy, ensuring continual reduction of energy usage, carbon footprint and achieve our net-zero goals.

This new role demonstrates the Group’s commitment responding to climate change challenges, alongside forming part of the Group’s wider investment into our Asset Team.

Reporting to the Head of Asset Strategy & Planning, the Energy and Sustainability Manager will support with ensuring the Group has a full understanding of current energy performance and sustainability of its portfolio, whilst developing an effective strategic and operational approach to energy efficiency improvements to achieve EPC Band C by 2030 and Net Carbon Zero.

As our energy expert, you will research and lead on new technologies, engaging with stakeholders and fellow experts at local and national level, whilst exploring funding opportunities to help maximise the Group’s decarbonisation agenda.

As our Energy & Sustainability Manager, you will…….

  • take day-to-day responsibility for the management and delivery of our decarbonisation strategy
  • manage all income generating energy initiatives
  • investigate and manage new initiatives and external funding opportunities
  • ensure compliance with legislation and governmental targets
  • be our ambassador for energy & environmental sustainability
  • develop and maintain a robust approach to SAP/energy data
  • provide guidance, coaching and specialist energy advice
  • have experience of working with multiple stakeholders in an energy capacity
  • ideally have experience of working in a similar role within social housing

You will be homebased, ideally, living within the North West and within a reasonable traveling distance of our Head Office, in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training.
