Location:                  Wigan Town Centre

Weekly Hours:       35 hours (Monday to Friday)

 

So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Services Officer, providing front of house reception and administrative support.

The role is based at Coops Foyer in Wigan Town Centre and will move over to our new Wigan Foyer, also based in Wigan Town centre when the innovative development is completed in the next 2 years.

Coops Foyer is accredited with the Foyer Federation meaning we take an asset-based approach, called Advantaged Thinking, in all the work we do; encouraging young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big and fulfil their ambitions.

We want to recruit a Customer Services Officer as passionate about this as us.

What will my working week look like? 

This role generally works 9-5, Monday to Friday on scheme at Coops Foyer, though there is some scope for flexibility around our core 8am-8pm hours.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will you be responsible for delivering that first contact to both our residents and visitors.

One of the great things about this role is being able to bring your own personality. Our young people come from a wide range of backgrounds and we try to mirror that in our staff team.

You will also provide the administrative support to the team, taking a lead on repairs and processing outcomes, data collection and creating purchase orders.

This role is really suited to someone who likes interacting with people on a daily basis,

This role also offers genuine progression opportunities, with previous staff progressing onto Project Officer and Accommodation and Support Officer roles. This role would also be an ideal first step for someone wanting to make a career in Supported Housing.
