So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional to join our Asset Compliance team, as a Compliance Contract Manager.

This role will have specific responsibility for the delivery of Your Housing Group’s Asbestos Management obligations as well as the operational management of other servicing and responsive repair contracts.

The Asset Compliance team are truly passionate about our customer service & safety, data excellence and ensuring compliance to statutory regulations, and having recently implemented a new team structure this is a great time to join this dedicated team.

We are looking for someone with proven experience of managing contractors, with knowledge of building, construction and maintenance industries and holds relevant Asbestos management experience and qualification.

What will my working week look like? 

Your Housing Group offers a great “Work Life Mix” culture. You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses.  You’ll be required to visit our Head Office approximately two to four times per month.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be the responsible person and organisational lead for ensuring compliance with YHGs Asbestos Management obligations, overseeing the delivery of management surveys, R&D surveys, periodic inspection, Asbestos removals and also the objectives of the Asbestos management plan.

In addition, you will lead in the day-to-day management of at least one other compliance servicing and responsive repairs contractor ensuring services, repairs and improvement works are completed on time, deliver value for money and a quality service to customers.

You will work closely with the Compliance Operations Manager to embed performance specifications, service standards and contract management procedures as well as working collaboratively with members of the wider Asset teams to provide technical guidance and support

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be a successful Compliance Contract Manager, here at YHG, you will….

  • hold BOHS P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings and BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
  • have experience in managing the delivery of Asbestos surveys and remediation/removal works, including on site audits.
  • experience of producing a variety of written documents including responses to customer complaints, design briefs, technical specifications, performance reports, policies and procedures.

Ideally you will……

  • have experience of setting and managing budgets and expenditure reporting.
  • hold a HNC or HND (or equivalent) in a construction related discipline.
  • have experience of managing and leading staff.

This role is really suited to someone who able to develop strong collaborative working relationships with staff, customers, and contractors and has a passions for customer safety and compliance.
