Weekly Hours:         35 hours   

 

So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a community focused individual to join our Community Investment Team. Working both in Partington, Manchester and supporting projects across Your Housing Groups other priority neighbourhoods, our aim is to deliver our 5-year Community Investment Strategy and improve the neighbourhoods and communities in which we operate.

With a focus on employment, tackling poverty, the environment and health & wellbeing projects, the role is varied, and every day is different.

Joining an experienced team who have used their problem-solving skills to design projects and initiatives to support our local housing team and improve our communities. We have been successful in delivering support to our customers to meet their needs and improve their lives.

We are looking for an innovative, flexible and confident individual who has experience in designing and delivering projects. A person who is customer focused and has been involved in customer engagement projects is desirable. Someone who has the ability to create and maintain key relationships and partnerships and is able to successfully problem solve and make decisions.

What will my working week look like? 

Approximately half of the week will be based in Partington, Manchester to lead on Community Investment activity and support the local housing team in one of our main regeneration areas. You will be required to manage existing projects while assessing the needs of the community and delivering improvements.

The other half of the week will be supporting work within our priority neighbourhoods across Your Housing Group. Working with the local housing team, you will be expected to travel across our communities, engage and listen to customers and deliver improvements based on the needs of the neighbourhood.

You will also be expected to travel to our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will support the development and delivery of neighbourhood plans that deliver projects and initiatives that positively impact of the performance of our assets and communities. You will be asked to manage current projects and also develop and deliver new projects and services that meet the aims of the Community Investment Strategy. This will also require you to secure appropriate resources and funding (internal and external) to successfully deliver change.

One of the great things about this role is the varied nature of the projects you will be involved in. From engaging customers and supporting employment and training initiatives to delivering improvement works within our neighbourhoods, every day is different.

Another key part of the role is to build and maintain successful relationships/partnerships between internal colleagues and external partners and to evidence the impact of the projects you deliver.
