Your Housing Group has an opportunity for a Cleaner based at Oakmere’s over 55’s Retirement Living Extra Care Development in Handforth, near Wilmslow in Cheshire (SK9 3NS).
As our Cleaner, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties to all communal indoor and outdoor areas of the building, reporting any potential health and safety hazards around the building. You will provide a professional and reliable cleaning service, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, exceeding our contractual requirements.
The hours of work for the Cleaner role are a 12-hour weekly rota which includes Bank Holidays and weekends:
Week 1: Wed 12pm-2pm; Thurs & Fri 8am-12pm and Sun 10am-12pm
Week 2: Wed 10am-12pm; Thurs & Fri 8am-12pm
It’s a given, you will be committed to the principles of customer care, have experience of using domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and be able to work with a minimum of supervision.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore, a DBS BASIC check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
