Salary Banding:             £50,000-£55,000

Job Location:                 North West

Contract Duration:         Permanent

Hours (weekly):     35 (working Monday to Friday)

The safety of our customers is Your Housing Group’s number one priority, and we are expanding our Building Safety Team further, introducing the brand-new role of Building Safety Manager.  This new role forms part of the Group’s wider investment into our Asset Team, and there are also a number of exciting new opportunities, we are actively recruiting for. 

Reporting to the Head of Building Safety, you will support with guaranteeing building safety standards are fully adhered to, ensuring we are meeting (and exceeding!) the quality standards and regulatory requirements, as outlined within the Building Safety Bill and Fire Safety Act 2021.

As our Building Safety Manager, it’s a given you will manage building safety, and you will also manage resident engagement across the Group’s portfolio of properties  within the scope of legislation (such as the Building Safety Bill), ensuring the needs of our residents are met.  You will also be responsible for the management of the Building Safety Case and Golden Thread of Information.

As our Building Safety Manager, you will…….

  • take day-to-day responsibility for the safety of our higher risk and 15 high-rise building, ensuring the quality of works undertaken meets the required standard and our buildings remain compliant
  • have experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a building safety capacity
  • lead on all aspects of safety associated with these buildings, acting as the guardian of resident and building safety for the Group
  • be the critical link in providing assurances to all internal and external stakeholders about the safety of our residents and buildings
  • have transferable skills from roles such as facilities management or a fire safety profession
  • ideally have experience of working and engaging with residents, in a similar role within housing

You will be homebased, ideally, living within the North West and within a reasonable traveling distance of our Head Office, in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training.
