Your Housing Group now has a rare opportunity for an experienced DevOps Specialist to join our established ICT team as an Agile Delivery Manager (DevOps)

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for the end-to-end DevOps process, who is keen to deliver against our project portfolio.

Your Housing Group are undertaking a wide-ranging Technology programme including implementation of our data strategy and a digital transformation programme.  This will allow us to switch from legacy applications to a range of new technologies enabling a strategic channel shift and we’re looking for an experienced Agile Delivery manager with experience specifically from a DevOps specialism to help us achieve this.

What will my working week look like? 

This is a homebased role, however you will need to be based in the North-West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses as required.

You’ll be required to visit our Head Office in Warrington approximately 2 or 3 times a month, but this can vary week by week and you can have some influence on the frequency based on how you want to manage your team.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will have responsibility for leading the DevOps sprints to be able to support the change programme, alongside management responsibility for a number of developer resources both internally and those provided via our external 3^rd party partners. 

You will be fully accountable for the co-ordination of all DevOps activities, during every stage of the sprints, reviewing user stories using appropriate tools and frameworks that support this.

As the Agile Delivery Manager – DevOps, you will have an active part to play in continuously improving team culture as part of the corporate agile / DevOps vision, whilst helping to identify and deliver measurable value and iterative products as part of our Digital Transformation and will contribute and help define the Technology Road map for YHG.

To be a successful as an Agile Delivery Manager -DevOps, here at YHG, you will have previous experience of working as a delivery/scrum manager using an agile methodology along with excellent influencing, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ideally you will be a collaborative team player with a genuine desire to continually improve both yourself and your team.

This role is really suited to someone who likes to positively contribute to the success of the wider IT team with a personable outlook, an individual who can represent IT in the best possible light to our customers.
