Location: Homebased North West
Contract: 10 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £19,500
Hours: 35 (Monday to Friday)
So…. What is this role exactly?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the Insurance & Risk Team at Your Housing Group.
You will be covering for maternity leave for around 10 months, there’s the possibility that this could be extended, there is also the potential of a permanent opportunity within the business too.
We are looking for someone that is genuinely passionate about providing an excellent administrative service, helping to support how the Group manages and defends its claims.
What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses. You’ll be required to visit our Head Office approximately once a week, however some weeks it may be more.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be responsible for handling insurance queries that the team deals with via an insurance email inbox.
You will be maintaining claims records, collating information (which supports the effective management of insurance claims) and liaising with internal departments and the Group’s Insurers. It's a really interesting role.
You will also ensure that any relevant evidence is collated for any insurance claims and investigate any claims related incidents to help mitigate the risk to the Group.
One of the great things about this role is that you will be part of an extremely supportive team, that works collaboratively across the wider business, with a number of key stakeholders
It’s not just internal customers that you will be supporting, you will also have the opportunity to build great relationships with external partners and customers.

To be a successful as our Insurance & Risk Administrator, here at YHG, you will have…..
- extensive administration experience – administrating data and documents, whilst maintaining accurate records
- knowledge of how to investigate claims (preferred)
- transferrable experience in administration of key records or claims management
- experience of managing tasks to deadlines
Ideally you will have…
- excellent communication skills
- excellent relationship building skills
This role is really suited to someone who is likes speaking with a range of customers and wants to make a difference.
