So…. What is this role exactly?
This is an exciting and challenging role for a customer focussed individual to join the Adaptations Service as an Adaptations Co-ordinator to join an award-winning team at YHG.
We are looking for a passionate Adaptations Co-ordinator to manage and deliver minor and major adaptations from enquiry through to completion.
You will be a team player who will help us deliver high quality services to our customers around providing high quality adaptations works.
Work in accordance with the Adaptations policy and procedures to ensure that our customers are provided with a high-quality effective response to their requests for help and assistance
What will my working week look like?
The role will require some regional working to visit customers’ homes however much of your time you will work from home. You must live, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings, collaboration days with your team and training courses.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, your role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all minor and major adaptations across YHG stock working in collaboration with external stakeholders.
In this role, you are required to co-ordinate works for customers ensuring a high-quality service.
You will ensure works are undertaken in line with the Adaptations Policy and budgets.
Decision making, is accurate, providing robust, timely updates based upon individual cases.
Develop effective relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders effectively.
The ability to manage a challenging varied caseload using initiative and experience to make appropriate decisions.
Present cases to YHG’s Adaptations Panel.
You will liaise with external contractors to ensure that’s works are undertaken competently, promptly and manage costs.
Raising work orders with contractors, issuing Purchase orders, raising and reviewing asbestos surveys including managing asbestos removal.
Ensuring all cases are monitored and progressed from the beginning through to completion.

- Knowledge and experience of working within an Adaptations Service.
- Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to details with the ability to apply technical knowledge to resolve practical issues.
- Experience of working in social housing or Local Authority.
- Experience of working in a customer focussed role with the ability to manage customer expectations.
- Effective communication skills that include the ability to listen well and communicate sometimes difficult decisions to customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
The ability to use SharePoint, MIS, EXCEL, Word etc to accurately record, organise and report data in line with service requirements.
- Full UK Driving License / Use of own Vehicle.
