Job Title: Scheme Manager

Salary Banding: £19,000 - £20,000

Job Location: Manchester

Contact Duration:  fixed term contract until 31/12/19

Hours (weekly):  35 Hours per week working Monday to Friday

Your Housing Group has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Scheme Manager, managing across 2 sites in Manchester (Lee Court, M22 & West Point Lodge, M19)

In the rewarding, non-residential role of Scheme Manager, you will provide support and advice to customers, fostering a friendly community atmosphere, promoting the use of the communal areas and monitoring the gardening and maintenance contractors. You will act as a coordinator, signposting and liaising with residents’ families and working in partnership with external agencies to ensure resident’s needs are met.

Its a given, as a successful Scheme Manager, you will have strong communication skills and have previous experience of managing within older people’s housing services or schemes of a similar size, with demonstrable knowledge of housing legislation, health and safety and housing management principles. 

In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to support Value for Money throughout the organisation and have a passion for doing things right first time.

(IF APPLICABLE) This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED/ADULT BARRED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
