Salary Banding:          £23,750 circa dependent upon experience

Job Location:              Brookside

Contract Duration:    Permanent

Hours (weekly):          35 primarily Monday to Friday. However, given operational need, flexibility is required to cover shifts 7 days a weeks with late and early starts

Your Housing Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Retirement Living Services (RLS) Scheme Manager based at their modern 111 unit Retirement Living Village at Brookside Retirement Living Service, Ormskirk, L39 3BP.

In the rewarding, non-residential role of RLS Scheme Manager, you will provide support and advice to customers, fostering a friendly community atmosphere.  You will oversee the delivery of high-quality Retirement Living scheme services, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, performance is maximised and that all activity is reflective of older people’s aspirations and supports the achievement of the Your Housing Group’s vision.

To be successful in the role of RLS Scheme Manager, it’s a given you will have strong communication skills and have previous experience of managing a full staff team as well as older people’s housing services/schemes of a similar size, with demonstrable knowledge of managing staff performance / absence, housing legislation and tenancy/housing management principles. 

The RLS Scheme Manager, will also act as a co-ordinator, signposting and liaising with customers’ families and working in partnership with external agencies to ensure customers’ needs are met.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
